Because a great home exchange isn’t just about finding the perfect home — it’s also about finding the right exchange partners. At the end of the day, people are exchanging with you, not just your house That’s why your Profile section matters so much.
So, what should you include in your profile?
Think of your profile as your introduction to the community. It’s your chance to help other members get to know you a little better: who you are, who you travel with, what you enjoy, and how you approach home exchanging.
Tell members about yourself
Who’s behind the listing? Introduce yourself and your family if relevant. Share names, ages (or birth years if you prefer), a little about your lifestyle, your hobbies, and what you enjoy about home exchanging. And of course, don’t forget your pets! 
Members always appreciate knowing their names, personalities, and any care instructions.
Share who you usually travel with
Do you travel as a family? Solo? With friends? Let people know what your typical trips look like.
Talk about your travel style
Are you tied to school holidays? Recently retired and flexible? Working remotely while travelling? Do you love last-minute adventures, or are your exchanges planned months in advance?
Show your personality as a HomeExchanger
Are you the “everything has a label and there’s a guide for the coffee machine” type? Or more “relaxed and easy-going as long as everything’s clean”? 
And when it comes to your guests — are you the discreet host who leaves everything ready and slips away quietly, or the welcoming host who suggests a drink together on arrival?
The more people can get a feel for who you are, the easier it is to create the right connections — and that’s often where the real magic of home exchanging begins
