We have a lovely 4 bedroom / 3 bathroom family home in central Chamonix, France and are interested in spending 6+ months in the Northern Rivers (Byron to Brunswick) NSW from c. Oct 2025. If you live there and would entertain a reciprocal exchange to have a winter season in Chamonix please get in touch!!! Afraid not looking to pet-sit.

Hi David,
I read your ad and may be interested in discussing an exchange with you, maybe not for the whole 6 months but for part of that time.
We are an active couple in our early 60’s living in Cabarita Beach, 45 minutes north of Byron Bay. I understand that you specified Brunswick Heads - Byron Bay, but perhaps you may also consider going to a quieter beach village a little further north.
We have a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house walking distance to 3 beautiful, uncrowded beaches. We have a quiet, shady backyard with big trees and an organic vegie garden.

We are keen skiers and were on a 10 day ski trip to Courcheval in March 2020 when Covid cut our ski trip short. We hope to be able to get back to the French Alps in the future so we can experience skiing there. How far are you from the ski areas in Chamonix?

Thanks v v much for your message Michelle. Definitely worth considering. As we’ve just started to explore the whole idea we’re keen to see if we can find something a little further south as we have friends down there and also for longer really. What sort of timeframe are you thinking? We are in central Chamonix so all our ski areas are 5-15 min drive/bus away and Megeve, Contamine, Courmayeur (Italy) are 30 mins.

Thank you for your quick reply and further information about your location in Chamonix. We understand you are seeking a longer stay and prefer to be further south.
We are flexible with dates but prefer mid-late February - March so could be at the end of your trip. Cabarita Beach is just 25mins drive from Gold Coast International Airport.
Please keep us in mind in case you don’t get an exchange for the whole 6 months as we could do 6-8 weeks. Happy to discuss further at a later date if you think it could be a possibility.
