It was the perfect combination. A historically and culturally rich area, impeccable and comfortable accommodations, kind and attentive hosts. It was the definition of the perfect exchange. We spent the month of August in Pais Vasco, just outside Donostia. Visited San Sebastian, Pamplona, Bilbao, Hondarribia, Ste. Jean de Luz, Biarritz. Had Oreo ice cream in Orio, Spain! Hiked the Ulia trail, and many more. Fascinated by the Basque Geopark and Basque Whaling Museum. A unique and fascinating part of Spain that we’d never visited before, but want to again.
