Good afternoon all. Just wondering…. Is it more beneficial to have a second account with a second home, or is it more beneficial to just add the second home to the same account? The reason I am asking is because I see you get about 1500 points when you sign up as referred by a friend. I could set up a second account if this is more beneficial. Any advise?
Hello, it isn’t possible to have 2 accounts and you couldn’t be sponsored as a new member for points because you wouldn’t be a new member .
If you have a second home you just create a second listing with the same account. It’s financially better anyway because otherwise you’d have to pay the subscription fee twice every year…
Thankyou!
Quick question…. I am accustomed to airbnb and my housekeeper charges 150 for a cleaning fee. Can I charge that or I have to pay that myself?
You Can Ask it, it’s the only fee which is authorized
Be sure to make it clear in your home description that you charge a fee and the amount. You can’t ask for it after finalising an exchange if it isn’t in your home description. It’s best to also ask your guests to confirm on the message on the site that they accept to pay a fee.
This is why cleaning fees should be a checkbox (yes, no, maybe with associated description including cost if the “yes” or “maybe” boxes are checked) . And during the finalizing process, a guest should be asked to confirm that they agree to pay the cleaning fee. This will make it clear that both the host and guest have agreed on whether or not there is a cleaning fee and that the guest agrees to pay it, if applicable.
HE doesn’t wish to have this option because this would give the impression that cleaning fees are a normal part of exchanging, which isn’t the case. They are still exceptional. The majority of exchangers exchange their main home and don’t ask for fees. Many won’t accept to exchange where fees are involved ( which is why you should mention it in your description).
I can understand but I am sure they are going to love having a very clean home and not having to clean it when they leave.
All homes should be clean on arrival at the owner’s expense and many members would prefer to clean themselves before leaving. If you’re clear about the fees you’re applying though the members that don’t agree will probably not send you a request anyway.
if HE permits it, then it should be a checkable box
