Being a Home Exchanger for years with many successful exchanges while the kids were growing up, they are now often working being home from school/ University. As this limits the possibilities of exchanges (theyāre staying in the home while Iād like to travel⦠) Iāve had the opportunity to be invited to petsit - often working from home - in locations Iād like to visit. I get to travel, the pet gets to stay at home with their normal routine - the pet parents get ease of mind.
I have an occupation, I own my home, I have a pet myself. I stay a lot on hotels already. This is a way I sometimes travel, living like a local.
Iām interested in urban areas with good public transportation and exchanges with people with a positive and open mindset for a mutual exchange between equal partners.Iāve had pets all my adult life, own different properties and always got good rapports with my matches. Iām very reliable and tidy. For a good match it is imperative to be transparent - that way no one is disappointed. Whether it be home, pet behavior or health - and having firm travel plans and sharing them, so we both can plan accordingly.
Although I live a calm life and work from home, I must be able to have outings of at least 6 hours to explore the area (or I would stay at my place with my dog, ofc ![]()
)
My last big adventure was Tokyo for two weeks, that was not nearly enough Japan for me. Wonderful to walk the dog in our ward, go out to a local shop or to a temple. A revisit to Hong Kong is way overdue. Korea! US is at present off the table, unfortunately. I travel for work in Europe, and would like to see more than meeting rooms. Of particular interest - Gran Canaria (had a wonderful home exchange a few years ago, would love to revisit) or Barcelona (only been for work), absolutely Amsterdam, London⦠Denmark.. Can share LinkedIn-profile etc if we choose to consider.
Happy to discuss. ![]()
