New Year by the Sea! Home Exchange in Scheveningen

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a home swap for New Year’s week, ideally from December 26th to January 3rd, though I’m flexible with a few extra days.

I live in The Hague, Scheveningen (The Netherlands) — the perfect place to clear your head by the sea. The beach is just a few minutes away, and during New Year’s there are the traditional Scheveningen bonfires, fun boulevard events, and a lively atmosphere in the Keizerstraat.

My home is suitable for 1 person or a couple. There is technically space for more people, but the house is small — so you’d need to be comfortable with compact living. The sofa converts into a double bed, which you’ll need to fold out and pack away daily to keep the living space functional. On the upside, there is a large dining table and plenty of seating.

I share my home with:

  • a friendly dog who can join you on walks but can’t be off-leash with strangers,

  • and a cat who freely goes in and out on her own.

If desired, and with mutual agreement, the dog can also come along with you on your holiday.
