Awesome Scott. I contacted HomeX, but they were unable to offer any useful guidance on how to use our community to assist. I’m assuming those in the HomeX community that have lost their homes are not even thinking about us as a resource at this point…wondering if anyone out there has made an effort to reach out to HomeX’ers in affected Disaster areas?? Feedback welcome!
Thanks for your response, this is impacting so many and I know you are right, this resource would not come to mind immediately.
We were evacuated from Pacific Palisades fires when fire trucks arrived to our home.
Next day we walked on the beach (since all roads were closed) for hours from Santa Monica to reach our home since it showed on the map that it burned down.
When we arrived we were able to put out small fires in ours and our neighbors yards for over 6 hours after firefighters left.
Our home survived with damages.
We were able to find emergency Homeexchange till yesterday and now are looking for long term Homeexchange or rentals since no one will be able to go back for a long time.
If you have second homes in west LA, Venice, Santa Monica, Culver City, Rancho Park, Westwood ot near by please let me know.
We can’t leave LA because of school and work.
