I’m looking for a host family in Malta from July 6th to 14th.
Dear community, I’ve been doing home exchanges for a year now and have completed 17, all very successful. I’m planning my 2026 vacation and already have 5 days booked in Gozo, an island in Malta, but we’d like to extend our stay in Malta from July 6th to 14th. I’ve applied to ALL the home exchanges on the island, without success, and I’m a bit pressed for time because flights get very expensive and there are four of us.
We are a very respectful family, and our ratings reflect this. Is anyone in Malta willing to host us during those days?
It is very pressed in summer - tourists of course, but also a big market for language schools that fill up also rentals and the host family-sector in Malta in summer.
If you have your flights booked I would in your shoes book a flexible hotel reservation that can be cancelled if you want to keep looking for a HE. The worst isn’t an expensive hotel, but no hotel.
An option could be a ferry to Sicily, just to broaden your scope of thoughts.
