I have been saving up my points, and I have thousands, (!) for an intergenerational trip that I would like to take with my family next January 2027. We are hoping to find a coastal location in Mexico with a four bedroom home that would suit a family with two young children.
Up to now, I have not found anywhere that is willing to exchange for Guest points, or that is available for booking at this stage. However, I am hopeful that we will find somewhere so that we can begin to plan, to book flights, and to get excited about this once in a lifetime family trip.
January is a pic season. So i guess it is more difficult.
I had no problem to find exchanges in Mexico near the beach with GPs or reciprocical exchange for an exchange in August 9 months in advance.
I was flexible on the number of bedrooms. For 4 people , 2 bedrooms can be fine (kids sleep in a bedroom and parents in the other bedroom) and i alway offer simultaneous or non simultaneous or GPs exchanges. Not only GPs.
The secret in exchanging is to be flexible.
You can find the perfect place (january , 4 bedrooms…) but be ready to give up a wish like to be not so near to the beach or a different decoration for example.
