Hello! I am Graham, an actuary working in the San Francisco Bay Area. My wife, Andrea, is a physical therapist, and we have a blended family with four children (ages 11-14), who live with us half the time. We love traveling with and without them, and are looking for new adventures and places to explore. We are new to Home Exchange, but my family had a great experience using a similar program way back in the pre-internet days.
Our 5 bedroom is perfect for families, with plenty of beds, a great kitchen, multiple TVs and games, and tons of sports equipment (including 6 bikes and a home gym). There is a members-only pool club at the end of the block, which you can access during the summer months and includes two pools (one with lifeguard and diving board), a basketball court, grills and more. Moraga is a quiet and very safe town, with lots of hiking and biking trails. We live next to the high school with playing fields, tennis courts, and even more pools (open year round).
Access to San Francisco, Oakland, and Berkeley is a breeze, either a 20-40 minute drive, or via the BART (closest stop less than 10 minute drive). Also close to Napa/Sonoma wine country (downtown Napa is 45 minutes away), Bay Area beaches, and multiple redwood forests (Redwood Regional Park in Oakland is 15 minutes away, world famous Muir woods less than an hour). A bit further but still reachable within 3 hours are world class ski areas (Lake Tahoe) and not-to-be-missed Yosemite National Park.
We are open to all kinds of exchanges, and are generally traveling at least 3-4 weeks a year.
