I wondered if the HE community could offer a service similar to ‘Find a Local’ or ‘Showaround’?
It could be that a family exchanges in my area and wants a local person to help them navigate the area, share local knowledge and the best bits, go on walks with them…
As an example… me trying to work out how to travel across fjords and islands in Tromso and not easily succeeding on websites… How great would it be to be able to ask a local HE member for their knowledge!
It would be free and in the spirit of HE (safeguarding through the verification processes that HE already provides?). If a HE member was willing to provide such a service, that could be one of the filters?
