Hi all, We home exchange our second home when itā€™s not booked through Airbnb or VRBO. Iā€™d love a way to sync our Home Exchange calendar with our PMS, Hospitable, or even directly with Airbnb. Iā€™ve searched and canā€™t find a way to sync the HE calendar with anything. Has anyone found a way? Or even a way to import a calendar of blocked dates? Any suggestions? Thank you. ---

I am curious about this as well. It would be very helpful to be able to sync the calendars with other services. ---

Me too. Exactly the same situation. Need to coordinate my Google calendar and my Airbnb calendar with my HE calendar. I know how to sync the AIRBnB calendar with my Google. ---

Cause itā€™s not a priority. 80% of homes are primary and not rented on STR platforms. So itā€™s not a lot of members. For what I know as an ambassador, itā€™s not planned on the tech staff roadmap. ---

ā€œWith over 150,000 members in 145 countriesā€ 20% that do STR would be about 30,000 members. That actually seems like a substantial enough portion of the membership to support calendar syncing. We would be one of those members supporting that initiative. This would improve not just the experience of STR members, but non-STR members looking for a place as well, because more listings would show as available when searching for specific dates. We prefer to not have to update a second calendar every time someone books our place as a STR, so we just ask members to see our Airbnb calendar, but Iā€™m sure that limits how many people see our listing on Homeexchange. ---

No in fact those numbers are out of date, itā€™s now 190,000 members and 160 countries. But even on those 20%, a lot of people are not renting their second place. And you shoulnā€™t Ask people to look at your Airbnb listing, thatā€™s not allowed at all. ---

Bonjour Etienne , Real case. A GP exchange was concluded for a place abroad next summer. Great! Thanks HE. BUT when i went on a famous rental website, MY dates were opened with a automatic reservation. I told it to the host and he replied that now my dates on rental websites were closed. I checked on the rental plateform (the one i saw the problem) and guess what? MY dates were still opened. It means that if the landlord gets a reservation, he will cancel mine because there is 100$ penalties + others problems when cancelling on this website. It is a country with a few HE listings so a cancellation a few days or weeks before arrival would be a big problem for me. ---

I have noticed many hosts having the proprieties listed also on other sites. And, even without taking that into consideration, having a way to sync and export the calendar allows hosts to have HE availability visible on google calendar for example, so they can easily update it or understand if there is need to change anything. ---

It would be, someone surely knows how to do it. It should be a priority. Every planning platform should have a calendar you can look at. It seems to me it should be the first thing to have. Doesnā€™t mean you can book instantly but you can at least plan and keep an eye on where you and potential guests are at.
