For those of you in San Francisco using HomeExchange, do you register your home with the city’s Office of Short-Term Rentals? I’m curious if others are going through the registration process or if it’s not necessary given the non-monetary nature of home swapping.
Would appreciate any insights or experiences you can share. Thanks!
I don’t live in SF but as an ambassador and managing the Facebook English group, I’ve never Heard of it, so I Guess it’s not necessary. You might want to check the docs, in theory they might specify if it’s needed to exchange but I doubt it

We’re not actively looking into San Francisco at the moment so we’ll need some time to get the most accurate information but typically when home exchanging is not mentioned in the regulations, we are excluded due to the non-monetary nature of the exchange
