Hello community,
Long term (14 years at least) very happy HE person here. We recently moved to a new home that has a pool, so I get ALOT of requests. We have a cat and I note that cat care is essential in the title and also elsewhere in my listing. Lately I have had many requests that never mention my cat at all. I am inclined to ignore such requests but I do not wish to be rude or assuming. Do people think there is more that I should do? Many of my requests simply talk about wanting to “rent with GP” and do not seem to have read my listing. Thoughts? Advice?
Thank you, Anne
Hello Anne .
You can answer there’s no rent with gp cause it’s not renting.
A few tips : titles are not translated for foreign members, so better to put it in your first line
Add a cat picture in second picture for example ( after the pool
), so if they don’t read the listing, they should probably look at first pictures

Thank you for the tips! I did not realize titles are not translated:) I have added our cat to the second photo and put cat care in the first line.
I do want to avoid exchangers who are not really ‘cat people’ and only pretend to be, as she is elderly and in need of actual attention. But I suppose that is where a face time chat can be helpful in assessing actual interest.

Maybe you could ask whether they have a cat themselves? We have a cat and always look for homes to exchange with where there are also cats - my children love it! If you make your cat more prominent in your listing and pictures then anyone who doesn’t mention her probably isn’t a cat person.
