Hello! I am from the USA and am curious what insurance companies you use that cover HE? My insurance is saying that it is not allowed.

Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum 🙂 I have moved your post across to the Q&A section as I think it will be seen more there. Have you tried to do a search for this subject as it does come up from time to time and you might find some handy tips in previous posts.

I have not heard that and it is not listed as excluded in my policy. I treat it like friends visiting which we have for years allowed people to use our home when we were not although that was not through any formal group. Did they point you to a specific exclusion?

People say ask your insurance agent but I don’t find agents give accurate responses for most questions. The answer is always no. We asked about if my son could have a roommate the policy explicitly says yes, only one roommate, agent said no. On HE I didn’t find specific wording in the policy was it your agent answering? Is it a larger company.? I can’t remember exactly the wording but I think ours excluded rentals and was silent on anything else.
