I’ve looked for help on this topic and checked the settings and cannot find an answer.
I have my family home in Maidstone, Kent and my office in Knightsbridge, London which during the summer I close down in August and can therefore exchange furniture, turning three of the offices into bedrooms. Normally, however, I want to swap the family home 1 hour outside of London as it is easier to not have to change the furniture around twice.
When I contact someone to suggest a reciprocal exchange how do I make sure I am offering the large family home and not the London apartment? It seems to default to the apartment.
Hello.
2 options :
-put the apartement offline ( if you can, meaning you have no exchanges planned with it in the future). It will be by default on the home.
-just after sending your request, switch to the home ( can be done on the app or the site)
Thanks, so is it defaulting to the last home that I listed?
I’m not sure how it works sorry.
@Greg_Maidstone, I have the same problem as you. I contacted the HE support team a while ago to ask them to at least make my most available home the default option, but they told me it wasn’t possible. So whenever I contact someone, I always have to go back into the conversation afterwards to make sure they can see the home I actually want to offer. And if not, I have to modify it in the request. Such a hassle!
I really hope they fix this by letting us choose which home, or which part of the home (the whole place or just a room), we want to offer before sending the message.
I solved this.
As soon as you send the exchange request you swap to the correct home
