I’d like to ask those with more experience a few things: How realistic is it to find a mutual exchange and maybe even a long-term one? If I set my points to zero using the button provided, do I lose them? Or can I always get them back if I decide to try using GPs? Are tourist taxes paid per night or per person per night? How much do they cost?
I still can’t believe that to live in a city like Amsterdam and choose an alternative method like this, you have to pay extra after people have exploited the system to the extreme.
It is quite easy to organise a simultaneous or non simultaneous touristic city.
Open your calendar with reciprocical exchange only.
Add your favorite destination (even weekend gateaways) so members can find your listing with the reciprocical search tool.
Use yourself the reciprocical search tool and you will find all for the listings in the world with your city in their favorite destinations. You will always find a simultaneous or non simultaneous exchange with these members.

Sometimes, there is 6 months up to one year of difference. I come one summer and they come the next summer or they come at Easter and we stay in summer.
My kid got a 9 months reciprocical exchange with a Berliner.
What is not clear is, if the non simultaneous exchange does it involve the use of Gpoints?
In this case I would like to know if you pay the tourist taxes for your guests or you ask them to pay them and if it is per person or per night. I did find some info about a 12% fee but it was not completely clear.
if not, it’s just a matter of find an agreement with the other part?
and one last question, in case I use the Gpoints and ask the permit etc how should be calculated as income tax if the Gp are not money?
You choose your dates and the other member chooses his dates.
It can be the same dates (simultaneous exchange) or different dates (non simultaneous exchange).
If there are points involved in a reciprocal exchange, it means that you or the other member has a set up with GPs.
Just ask him to turn this set up off.
